Seventeen Beauty Buys

Hello everyone! How are we all? The other day I popped into boots and in true Kiera fashion I ended up buying quite a few new makeup products. In today's post I decided I would talk about two of them which I am absolutely loving! Seventeen is a makeup brand I've never tried before. After seeing lots of different offers I decided to pick up a few things.
The first product I bought was the Seventeen Instant Glow shimmer brick in the shade "Pink Bronze". At the moment I am loving it more than my Mac blushers! The shimmer brick beholds beautiful pinky tones mixed with brown shades to give your cheeks a better contour. It transfers onto the cheek beautifully. I find I don't need to wear a highlighter with this blush as the shimmer in the product really stands out on the cheekbone area.
Secondly, I picked up an eye crayon in the shade "Molten Metal". It's a gorgeous golden, coppery shade, which is a real favourite of mine. Not only is this eye crayon waterproof, it also lasts on the lid all day long. I find it's really easy to blend and you can easily build up the colour, giving you the opportunity to have either a natural eye makeup look or a more intense one.
After trying these two products, I can definitely see myself venturing to the Seventeen counter more often!

LONDON

London has to be one of my favourite places to visit. Whenever I go I feel like I step onto another planet. There's the tourists walking around with their selfie sticks and smiling gazes, the people in suits with brief cases rushing around to important meetings... And then there's me. A girl from a small town with more ambitions than most.

People watching. One of my favourite pass times. I don't mean the weird stalker kind. I mean sitting in Trafalgar Sqare for the best part of an hour watching the world go by.

Shopping. London has to be THE shopping city. I love going to Covent Garden. On this trip to London I sat in a little cafe called Davys and had the most delicious hot chocolate known to man whilst watching a super talented opera singer.

Sights. There are so many amazing landmarks in London, so many exhalations of breath when something beautiful catches your eye.

Ambition. So many amazing opportunities reside in London. To me it will always be a city of mystery, with something new and exciting awaiting me around every corner.

London.

2015

I wanted today's post to be a little bit different, not the usual beauty or fashion related post. I know lots of people have a) already made this blog post or b) posted a video on YouTube about it, but I thought I would prefer to write down my thoughts instead and maybe next year I'll film a video looking back on all I mention here.
2015. I already have a really good feeling about the year, partially because it ends a big chapter in my life. I am currently at college completing my second and final year of A-Levels. I'm glad it's the final year because I've suddenly lost a lot of interest in the subjects I am studying and they're not at all areas I wish to pursue career wise. In the autumn of 2015 I'll be starting a musical theatre course at a college somewhere. I'm still auditioning currently and it's actually a lot of fun! It means I get to go to London a few times and London is one of my favourite places.
Going to concerts is one of my favourite things to do. From a young age my parents have always taken me and my brother to concerts, and we both love all styles of music. I invest a lot of money I've worked for into concert ticket buying which makes the amount of gigs and what not I go to all the more acceptable! So far this year, I have tickets booked for Collabro, The Script, Paloma Faith, Charli XCX, James Bay, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. I'm so excited and I'm sure there will be more concerts to come later on in the year.
I also have my first holiday abroad without my parents booked! Me and three of my best friends are off to Palma Nova in Mallorca! We're going in July after all our exams have finished. We will truly be able to relax and have fun before we all head off to different universities.
Going to different universities (or in my case - going to college) for me means moving away from home. As I sit and write this in my bedroom which I love A LOT and spend the majority of my time, it seems slightly strange that I'll be calling somewhere else 'home' later this year. I'm really excited to get a new room and to decorate it differently. If I get a good filming background and somewhere to put my Muji drawers than I'll be more than happy Ha Ha!
In August I turn 18! I know that's still quite a way away but what excites me is the fact I can watch 18 - rated movies. Like who cares about the alcohol really?!
Finally, it's my second year on the youtube and blogging universe. I am having SO much fun making videos and writing posts for you all on my little corner of the Internet! I can't remember what life was like before blogger and youtube existed. Those were dark times....

Now to spice things up a little bit, let's write a few New Years resolutions....

1) Have a good skincare routine
2) Clean my makeup brushes more frequently
3) Don't leave things while the last minute
4) Upload videos and blog posts every week
5) Pass my driving test
6) Be happy
7) Remember to stretch more often
8) Drink more water
9) Buy more makeup
10) Read more books

I realise this post has been ALL OVER the place, but I guess it's a way you guys can get to know me a lot better. Not that I'm all over the place, just... You know the drill. I promise next week I'll be back to the usual beauty/fashion related posts. For now, ADIOS.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

am a mahoosive fan of the Urban Decay eyeshadows, in fact, the naked 1 palette was my favourite makeup product of 2014! I've been wanting this bad boy for a while now and I finally ordered it straight off of feelunique. For me, this palette speaks spring/summer, and now christmas is over, summer is the one thing I look forward to the most!
This palette comes in a gorgeous rose-gold box, and the shadows inside reflect this. There are 12 shades altogether, ranging from ultra-smooth mattes to glimmering metallics. The shades are exclusive to this set and are certainly worth all the hype. The eyeshadows are super pigmented and last all day, for me even without using a primer (which I got a free sample of with my order). I find not only do these shades work well together they also look incredible as a single shade on the lid, blending really well.
This palette has an excellent mirror and an equally excellent double-sided brush, for both the crease and the shadow. The brush is really good quality and I'd definitely use it when out and about.
Currently, my favourite shades from the palette are "Liar" (5th from the right) which is a shimmery rose-toned brown and also "Trick" (6th from the left) which is a gorgeous rose-gold shade.
I love this palette so much and I'd 100% recommend this for the coming season.

Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Mini-Brush Set

Hello my lovelies! I hope you all have had a fabulous Christmas and here's to an amazing 2015! I realise over the past few months I've been somewhat quiet (I virtually disappeared off of the bloggingverse), but life got a little crazy and I've been putting double the effort into my YouTube channel to make up for my absense on here. I'm really excited for the new year and the blogs and YouTube videos that will follow.
On the 25th of December I opened the beautiful Bobbi Brown Mini-Brush Set. This luxurious item makes the perfect gift and keepsake for all beauty, brush and Bobbi lovers. This is my very first Bobbi Brown product and from the quality of these brushes and the beautiful packaging, I know it will certainly not be the last!
It came in a gift box which is the perfect size to store your makeup or whatever hidden treasure you fancy. I am a particularly big fan of the boxing the set comes in. I love the gold writing and red ribbon like stripes. I'm not one to throw nice packaging away so this will forever sit on my dressing table looking all pretty and photogenic.
There are four brushes inside the brown faux croc case, and I have just realised it couldn't have been any other colour, as it is Bobbi BROWN. My mind is blown... In my opinion, every brush you would ever need when on the run is featured in this set. The face blender makes an excellent powder or blusher brush, and for me, touching up my powder is the thing I do most when out and about. There's also an eyeshadow brush, concealer brush and finally a double-sided liner brush. All the brushes are really easy to work with and are quite frankly, the softest things ever. It's crazy to think such good quality products can be stored in such a light, compact and pretty case.
This limited edition Christmas set is brought out every year, so if you're wanting one for 2015 I would head on over to your local Bobbi Brown counter and grab yourself one now!

Zoella Beauty Review!

Zoella. Also known as Zoe Sugg. If you're reading this, I would imagine you would have heard of the Internet starlet, but if in the off chance you haven't, she is the Queen of Youtube. Her YouTube channel 'Zoella', is a place where she uploads beauty, fashion and lifestyle related videos. From makeup tutorials to funny challenges with fellow youtuber friends, she has captured the hearts of millions and has completely captured my very own. I have been watching her videos for what seems like forever, and they really do bring me so much happiness. Zoe was indeed one of the few people who inspired me to make my own YouTube channel, and I could never thank her enough for that. NOW! Away with the cheesiness and onto why we're here!

Zoe has released seven products as part of her debut beauty range. The collection is mostly related to skincare, which is something Zoe is obviously very passionate about. The packaging of all the products is honestly so cute, rather photogenic and VERY Zoella!

The Blissful Mistful perfume is a bestseller! When I heard there was going to be a perfume, I was expecting it to be at least £20, but I was pleased and rather delighted to find the perfume only cost £8. The biggest bargain of the century! The perfume has a subtle sweet scent, nothing too over-powering but very girlish. When I first sprayed it, I was instantly reminded of Daisy by Marc Jacobs, a perfume favourite of mine. The bottle is a nice size and very easy to pop in your handbag and carry around with you on your daily travels. I think this would make a perfect gift for Christmas! YES! I said the C word already!

I am loving the Creamy Madly Dreamy Body Lotion. It's enriched with Vitamin E and Aloe and Shea butter which softens and conditions the body beautifully. I have been applying this to my arms and legs most evenings and it feels fabulous. This big bottle only costs £5, so it's something that cannot be missed!

The Zoella Fizz Bar was probably the product I was most looking forward to trying. The concept is so unique and great. At first sight it looks like a chocolate bar, allowing you to break off little pieces of the bath bomb easily. It says 1-2 cubes should do it, but for me personally I need to use more to get a decent amount of bubbles in my bath. It smells amazing and it makes your bath water go all white and purifying. This pretty product costs £8.

My final purchase was the Soak Opera which is a really lovely body wash. I can honestly say this is my favourite product from the collection. It smells LUSH and once again it feels really nice and soothing on the skin. It even leaves a lasting smell of sweetness on your skin when you get out of the bath/shower. It's an amazing size and looks ever so pretty sat on the side of my bath. This product was £5 which again is such an amazing price for such an amazing product!

Other items in the range include two make-up bags and a candle. I'll definitely be investing in these in the near future! The Zoella Beauty range is available in selected superdrug stores, and is also available on the superdrug and feelunique website. Overall I am SO happy with my buys and would definitely recommend her products and re-purchase my buys in the future. I am so proud of Zoe and I can't wait to see more exciting things for her unfold.

Thanks for reading!

Get The Look: Zoella

Today I thought I would blog about my latest Get The Look video that I uploaded over on my YouTube channel. I was inspired by the amazingly awesome youtuber and fellow blogger Zoella to recreate her daily look as she really has become a fashion icon for young people around the globe.

My makeup consists of a few products Zoe loves and uses herself. For example, The Body Shop All in One BB cream is a must-have, particularly if you're in school or wanting to wear minimal/natural makeup. For my eyes, I used the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette, again, a favourite of Zoe's. The palette is full of lots of warm tones that will be perfect for autumn/winter. On the lips, I have used one of Zoe's favourite lipsticks, the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in the shade "107". Though it's a matte lipstick, it isn't drying in the slightest, and honestly, I love it SO much. Currently it is my favourite red lip product.

Zoe's hair is long, ombré and full of beautiful, bouncy loose-curls. I didn't really have the proper equipment to create those gorgeous waves, so I decided to fasten the top half of my hair into a bun, a look Zoe has been doing a lot in her most recent videos.

The outfit is exciting as Zoe actually has this dress (and guys I did buy it first)! This River Island dress is obviously perfect for this Zoella look. Not only does she have it, it has a collar, and pretty much anything with a collar will be Zoey approved. I paired it with my much-loved black leather Warehouse jacket, which makes the outfit slightly less girly. For the first time in a long time I put on some tights, and finally I wore my Topshop Chelsea boots which have honestly lasted me so well.

I think this look is actually a perfect look for winter, with the tights, boots, red lip and all. I really enjoyed recreating her look! If you haven't seen the video, you can check it out here: http://youtu.be/coWwtp6tTds

Get The Look: Emma Watson

Last week I uploaded a video on my YouTube channel about how to look like Emma Watson (or at least try to copy that perfection). I thought it was a good idea to write about the look also!

My makeup wasn't full coverage as Emma always has more of a natural, flawless finish. On the eyes, I used a black eyeshadow from Urban Decay as my liner, achieving my long lashes using the Benefit They're Real mascara, which is excellent at adding volume and separating your lashes. I didn't particularly contour in this look. I just used my no7 blusher in the shade "Romantic" which is a beautiful peachy colour. My lipstick is from the amazing Kate Moss Rimmel collection (one of my absolute faves), in the shade 107. Emma loves to have a bold lip, as seen in the picture above.

My hair is all down to my brother who is excellent at all things hair. It's quite complicated to explain but not too challenging to do (well it is for me who can barely put my hair into a ponytail!) I'll just say, watch the video which will be linked below (shameless self promotion there). We decided to put our own twist on the hair. Emma loves her curls, braids and her legendary, statement quiff, so we contributed the three things together to achieve this hairstyle!

I absolutely LOVE the outfit. I think it's very classy and very Emma! Firstly, I took my white Warehouse blouse and tucked it into my River Island Jeggins. Already, without the Warehouse blazer, I think this is a super cute look! Adding the blazer just makes it a bit more mature and smart. The shoes are my favourite item, as they are Christian Loubitons! Sadly, they don't belong to me and are from my mums wardrobe (also far too small for me), but the stiletto style heel was perfect for this classy look and I like how the red sole tied in with my lip colour.

Thanks for reading! You can check out the video on my channel here: http://youtu.be/2hnSxFjU_8k

Huge Beauty Haul

Oops, I did it again! I may have a few new products in my makeup drawer after last weeks makeup splash-out. Though I don't feel too guilty as it has been a while since I went out and bought new makeup instead of picking up the odd product or two. I expect product reviews will be on the horizon, but for now, here's a little bit about my new buys...

1) Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet "03- Hot Pepper" - I finally decided to grab one of these revolutionary lip products as currently they are a lip product must-have! All beauty bloggers rave about how great and striking these lipsticks are, and I love a good matte lipstick for winter, especially one that isn't drying! I'm excited to try this out, and for £8.99 I imagine you can't simply go wrong!

2) Soap & Glory Wonderbronze - This is actually my first S&G product which really excites me! I thought this bronzer looked absolutely gorgeous. It's full of sparkly pigmentation and I love the colour scheme. I have never been one to wear a sparkly (relatively powdery) bronzer, so I'm looking forward to trying this one. The mirror, might I add, is a fantastic mirror, and well..I love a good mirror! This cost me £11.

3) MUA Eyeshadow Palette "Undressed" - As a lover and constant user of the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette, I fancied a little change and this MUA palette really caught my eye. I really like the colour scheme and think it's a great Autumn/Winter palette full of lovely warm tones. I can't comment on what it's like, but for £4 I thought it would be worth trying out.

4) Bourjois 1 Second Nail Polish Remover - This product I will either love or hate. It's supposed to remove your nail polish in a second, just by dipping your finger into the bottle and it's contents. I have seen numerous videos where this works amazingly and I've yet to try it out. For £4.99 I thought it was a must-have!

5) The Body Shop Honey Bronzer - This is yet another product everyone is raving about at the minute. I have used this product and honestly I love it! It's a matte bronzer and I think it looks so elegant on the skin. It's around the £12 mark I believe. Great and affordable.

6) The Body Shop All In One BB Cream - This is a favourite of mine and was simply a stock-up. I've been loving wearing this over the Summer as it feels really light on the skin. Be warned.. it isn't high on coverage, but with the right amount of concealer it gives a nice flawless finish. This is £12.

7) The Body Shop Brush On Highlight - This highlighter is like no highlighter I have ever seen before, and the concept is totally new to me! The container holds within it small pearls, of various lovely colours. You dip your brush into the pearls, pop it onto your cheeks or your designated area and boom! You'll be a shimmering highlighted Queen! This cost me around £14 I believe.

8) The Body Shop Blusher - Finally, I picked up a gorgeous pink blusher. It really caught my eye as the shimmer brick is full of various pinky tones which together, work really well. I have also used this as an eye shadow, taking out the various shades I wanted. And I love a product where you can use it for multiple purposes. This was £16.

Holiday Outfit #2

So this post is all about a tropical green themed playsuit I have been loving wearing, which is from Oasis. The shortsy playsuit is perfect for Summer, and I love the little green belt that it comes with. I paired it with some Carvela sandals by Kurt Geiger, which I have to say are the comfiest shoes ever! My rings are from Topshop, and my sunglasses are warehouse. I love this look and I definitely think it's one of my favourites of this Summer!

Holiday Outfit #1

I've decided to make a little blog series where I write about a few of my holiday outfits!

Today's look has to be one of my favourites. I bought both the Zara parka styled jacket and green jeans on holiday. The jacket is not only incredibly comfortable, I also feel really nice when wearing it, and that is essentially what is important. The fur collar makes the look very chic and also quite editorial. I paired my Zara purchases with a white lacy tee from the Oasis Loved By Mollie collection, which I wear TOO much. I forgot to take a picture of my shoes (bravo Kiera), but on my feet I was wearing a pair of black Toms, AKA the comfiest shoes ever. The snake bracelet I have mentioned in a previous post. It was from a quirky, little non-descript jewellery shop and I love it A LOT. My hair is naturally straight, but it was curled using a babyliss hair curler.

My Holiday Makeup Bag

Hello everyone! I'm actually going away in a couple of days to the place that is paradise on earth...Tenerife. I am VERY excited about this holiday and I thought I would put together a little blog post about my makeup bag and all those beauty essentials that I will be taking with me.

My bag is a cute little (well, not so little) Ted Baker makeup bag. I got this for around £26 I believe, but despite the steep price, it is honestly worth every penny. It is very well made, fits a heap-load of stuff inside and well, it's Ted Baker. What's not to like?

I'm taking two different base products with me, both of which were featured in my "Beautiful Bases for Summer" blog post (read it here). The No7 Triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser is a real winner for me. It gives excellent coverage and it feels nice and light on the skin. The fact it contains SPF 15 will also protect you from those gorgeous rays of sun. The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream has been a fave of mine this month. Though the coverage isn't too great, it's a nice solution that's easy to wear and not tacky and short-lasting in the slightest.
I'm taking both my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and my Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer as the two mixed together will give me the perfect shade for my tanned skin (yes I am being hopeful!)

For my cheeks, I'm taking my much-loved Mac mineralise blush in the shade "Dainty" which is a nice wearable, peachy pink! I'm also going to be using my Mac Soft and Gentle Mineralise Skinfinish as it's perfect to wear on an evening when I'm going somewhere nice! As well, the highlighter can be used for a number of things, for example, as an eye shadow, so products that have multiple purposes and uses are excellent to take on holiday! My No7 Dual Bronzer was a real must-have as I'd love to look like a bronzed goddess (though I very much doubt that will happen). And finally, I will most certainly NEED my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. Being in a very hot climate, I'm sure to start emanating shininess like the sun so I need my powder to keep the shininess at bay.

For my eyes I have selected my Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara as it contains both a lower lash and an upper lash wand. Two in one is nice and compact which obviously leaves more space for more things. Perfect in my eyes. As always, I will stay loyal to my Nars Brow Perfector and I will be bringing my silver Collection Dazzling Gel liner for those nights I want to look a bit more glam!

I 100% knew that my Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette would certainly be coming on holiday with me. Palettes are perfect for taking away with you as they are compact yet present great versatility. The Naked 1 palette is my favourite item of makeup. The 12 shades range from mattes to shimmers, from warm colours to cool colours. The colours work really well together and can give you a number of different eye looks. It also comes with a liner which is very handy.

I have selected these three mac lipsticks to take with me. The lip products take up a large proportion of my makeup bag as you simply never know what colour you might fancy on the day. It's best to be prepared!
Left ~ Creme in your Coffee
Middle ~ Costa Chic
Right ~ Chatterbox

I am also going to be taking my Nars Pure Matte lipstick in the shade "Peloponnese". I simply could not live without my Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in the shade "107". Everyone needs a strikingly nice red in their makeup bag. Finally, I have my Tanya Burr lipgloss in the shade "Chic", as I really wanted a nude lipgloss.

I have a mixture of both Eco Tools and Real Techniques makeup brushes to take with me. From left to right: Real Techniques Blusher brush, Real Techniques Foundation brush, Eco Tools Brow brush, Eco Tools Concealer brush, Eco Tools Eyeshadow brush, Eco Tools Angled Liner brush, Eco Tools Blusher brush.

And that so happens to be everything I am taking (I am certain I will have forgotten something!)
This has become an unusually long post but I don't intend to crop it down too much as I won't be blogging over the next two weeks whilst I am away. Don't worry though guys, I have plenty of blog posts planned and a lot of photo taking will be done on holiday, so stay tuned for the holiday related posts to come! I am continuing to upload videos on my YouTube channel that I have pre-recorded so I shall leave a link to my channel below. You can also follow me over on twitter or instagram, only if you like :)

Thanks for the growing support guys!
Have an amazing two weeks!
